[Help]Nice Forms?

Well i would like to know how to make sexy forms

I couldnt find a picture example but like say i created a pic in photoshop that was sexy and i want it as my form..
Im just know learn about if statements in Vb and pretty sure its not going to teach me how to do this

Custom Controls, import background and use it, same for icons, or you can use third party stuff, but probably better with your own.

Be specific as to the image, Because GUi is more then a one post topic.

Well, you can definitely create graphics in Photoshop and then incorporate into your applications, but they can be sometime tedious to control in complex situations. I recommend you to use 3rd party controls that will make your life a lot easier. They are used by professional developers and their cracks are available on internet. I personally use Infragistics. But there are many other like Telerik, Component Factory, DotNetBar, IDAutomation and Ascend Net etc.

Yeah, as has been said by Born2Amuse as well as Rich, there's pretty much hundreds of options when it comes to "sexy" forms. You can even jump to WPF if you REALLY wanna customise that shit up. If you want to simply create a nice looking background in photoshop and then use it, you can just import it to your resources and then set it as the background image to your project. From there you can use things like TransparencyKey etc to get your custom shape around the edge. Also, you can go completely custom and handle the paint event of your form and it's various controls and make something you like.

It's up to you though, I agree with the other two that custom controls are by far the simplest and easiest way to get a good looking form with very little effort.

I would advice Component Factory Toolkit (mentioned already).
They can be used for free even if you feel like selling an application with them. (You just need to include the license with it)

You don't need any of those "fancy" tools. Just make your GUI neat and clean.

Lol, I hope you be trollin, because console can't be as great as GUI !

You should use DotNetBar, and replace the Form style to "DevComponents.DotNetBar.Office2007Form" but you have to add it as a reference, and explorer the source of the form. Its almost Advance to use, but there are allot of tutorials on YouTube - Broadcast Yourself., just search How to use DotNetBar and there will be over atleast 100 videos.

I woulda added it to the Attachments but its 26.5mb.

Just check YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. for how to crack DotNetBar, and enjoy DotNetBar BUT ALWAYS INCLUDE THE DLL IN YOUR POROGRAM OR wont work except on your computer.

if you want a nice design, set the border to none, and declare that the form can move itself.
