if you want RTS's try Sins of a Solar Empire, CNC3, or when it comes out, Starcraft 2


if you want fps's try counter strike, bf2/bf2142(if you can stand fucked up gameplay, gets addicting after a while) or RB6V2

EDIT: mmos: wow, city of heroes(actually not a bad game), everquest(dunno about this one, ppl say it's good)
