AVG 2011 free edition

Hello. My friend is having trouble with his avg 2011 free edition. there is some hacks the computer wont allow. Do anyone know how to allow a program to run through avg 2011, or turn it off? I have windows firewall, so i really dont know..

Turn off you Windows Firewall or go to the permissions and allow the hack or whatever it is.
