Retro TV Login

I decided to go with a theme. I just wish Cross Fire's login wasn't 800x600. I may remove the Dials and replace them with a box, and make the bottom button the exit button. I'm not sure yet. I have another idea, but I am not sure if it will work or not. I hadn't tweaked Cross Fire that much, but if it does work. It will be the ONLY login screen with that feature. So I won't discuss what it is, just in case it doesn't work.

why dont you make the start and exit buttons on the side with the "real" buttons on the tv. and when you hover your mouse over that area, you can see the tv change a channel (new image in the box)

That was my idea for the exit screen. However I am not sure if it would work. Actually I am pretty sure it will since the button and image has two different positions stated in the config file. I took a break, but I am working on it again now. So expect a release soon or an update.

This actually looks pretty cool. Good job, I'll be using this on your release

Thanks for the feedback. I may use the bigger knobs. Not sure, and if I can find the sound for that they use for confirm, I may hop into Fruity Loops and make a TV clicking noise to go with it. No promises with the sound though.

Thanks, so far I updated all positions and most of the files. I have two more, which will be the main ones. Then I have to give it a test run. I am pretty sure it will work though without test running it, but better to check and make sure. Here is an update. I may remove the keypad, but it just seemed to me to be silly entering in a username/login name and password without anything to type on. That is if the tv buttons was actually real.

Thanks for the reply. By picture do you mean like artwork or something? I like to keep my logins simples, and this is more of a menu-style design. I may release a ver. with some artwork in it.

Just a update, everything is working fine....but my save name and exit buttons, which both play a major role in my concept design. If I can't get them working within the next few mins, they will just have to be non-animated.

EDIT : Update, it seems that Cross Fire's design engine is setup to change the image based on the certain position. I tried changing the alpha channels, the WxH, and the X&Y of the image, however it seems to repeat the image based on the location of where they coded. Either that, or I am doing this completely wrong. Here is a screenshot of what I mean. If anyone has any idea, let me know. Otherwise I will wait till tomorrow to release this update, and the login will have to be unanimated. A shame, I know.

As you can see. Image 1 is normal. Image 2 is when "Save Name" is toggle, and image 3 is when "Exit" is on "force". Thing is, I want to replace Exit with a 800x600 image, and Save Name with a 57x63 image. No clue why it does this.
