Hacks will be patch yes. The game will be laggy yes. There won't be any more D3D hacks no. D3D is D3D, no matter what version... It might take a few weeks, but hack coders will figure it out. They jump to things almost instantly. Some times when there's a big update like CH. 3 will be, there's actually more and better hacks (instakill, etc) You just got to wait and see.

my friend who is code since of 2008 of 2011
he using c++ 2011 and he code hacks for warrock korean (Chapter3 with D3D10) and c++2011 got D3D10 .

Anyways, i see in chapter 3 only drawbacks..
