Go check the source section, AeroMan has two stickies - one with a nomenu "base" and one with code snippets. As for the languages I would suggest you stick to c++, it's one of the best all-round programming languages.

If you need more help with WR coding ask in the source section, if you need more help deciding what language to choose ask in the programming section
