A super volcano explosion would throw the whole world into an endless winter. The last super volcano blocked out the sun worldwide and threw 10 inches of ash on the ground 2500 thousand miles away. Most plant life in the northern hemisphere would become extinct. Worldwide starvation would occur and the human population could dwindle to a couple of thousand.
