Why do you get ban when you reached 2000 posts?

It's just a funny tradition to mark a pretty good milestone in your time on MPGH. And it's not a perma-ban, just about 3 days to a week.

when i got 1000 post i got banned for 1 day

And you get banned also at 1337 posts
if you go over 1, you probably get around 2 year ban :-P
Oh and the 1337-2000-3000-4000-etc. posts should be in a thread in general.(you should make the threads)
otherwise you might wont get banned.

Yeah its useless. But mpgh is mpgh.

It's a old tradition we have here, you start on 1337 posts (not 1000) and after you take another ban on 2000, 3000, etc...

Its just a tradition.
