Hey can someone please tell me is visual basic a good language for hacking games like crossfire?

Look into C++
Various hacks are possible with VB, it's true, but you'll find a lot more support for C++ hacking that you will for it's VB counterpart.

but im new to programming and VB seems alot simpler , should i go into that or just start on learning C++ straight away?
