[HELP] Removing Jailbreak

Hey guys i'm not quiet sure if this thread has been created or has been talked about etc...
But iv been doing some research and iv heard that if I upgrade that I could get banned or could not.
Sony did say:
"New for 3.56: A security patch has been added."
Now I have heard a few people have got banned I heard most people just updated instantly! and nothing has happened to there PSN acc/console
(Reason why i say console, because you could get a console ban)
I have looked up tutorials and some say i need to download the 3.55FW and just run a system update from the XMB and it should go then i see other tutrioals where they download the 3.55 FW and run it via Recovery Mode and it removes the Jailbreak.

Reasons why I haven't tried it is because:
1. I don't want loss of data (Doing it via recovery mode)
2. Just don't want my PS3 stuffing up hehe

P.S
I'm on 3.55 and want to remove the Jailbreak before updating,
I used the DNS bypass but its patched now.

Restore the original firmware the same way you jailbroke it.

Restore ur ps3.. to be sure to have no traces of the jailbreak

Okay thanks guys was just making sure

What happens if you already updated to 3.56 as I did already? I was not banned or anything...Should I do something?

I successfully restored to OFW 3.55 hehe
Now just update like normal :P
And its a bit late for u to worry i think, u already updated

When in recovery mode; You wont lose any data unless you do a full System Restore!

Thanks but I didn't do it via recovery mode
I did it via the XMB and it worked just fine.
