You can buy for your compuyter a PCI Express x16 graphic card
Your motherboard have 1 slot for PCI, and 2 for PCI express for Network cards, TV Turners, etc but they cant be used at the same time.
can i use pci express 2.0 or 2.1 since it can be backwards compatible

Yes you can; the graphic card Type I told you...
Any motherboard with a PCIe 2.1 (maybe 2.0) slot, and crossfire ready, should be compatible.
