How do we get the anniversary event items?

I know there is a way since I have seen people with accounts made in 2011 going around with the first anniversary bandana, and somehow continuing to wear it past the time limit it offers for usage.

Can someone explain how they are getting them? =\

Are you sure they are from 2011?
Maybe Nexon is gifting the items to new players idk...

you have to complete an event or something.

how do you know when their accounts were made?
Chances are the accounts are incerdibly old and never played on since then
