First tutorial I've made in a while. Anyways, this tutorial is for those of you people that want to put engravings on their mods, or want to have more space so they can put more of their details and/or brushes onto the gun. Alright, let's start.
First things first. The only tool we'll be using today is the Clone Stamp, the one surrounded by the red stroke:
Alright, now that we know what tool we'll be using, let pick a gun. I chose the UMP.
Now, when you click the Clone Stamp, it'll be just like using the brush tool. First, resize the size of the Clone Stamp so that it's smaller than the text/detail, but not too much. Always use a 0% Hardness so that it blends better and doesn't look choppy. For the UMP, I decided that size 40 would be best. When using the Clone Stamp, you don't just left click and begin. First, you'll need to hold alt and select the area that you'll be using to "Clone", then left click when you've decided. Make sure you pick areas that look like the part that the engraving is in, because you don't want one part that randomly looks different from the rest. Areas that I chose:
Now start using your clone tool. Make sure you don't just clone the areas so the text/detail is gone. Make it look good. Like so, as if the text was never there:
Also, if you noticed, by using other areas, I increased the number of scratches, which you could also do with other details. Example of removed text, replaced by cloned details:
And there you go! You've successfully removed text, and possibly added detail. You can go one step further by duplicating the layer, and changing the hue/saturation, then editing it some more. This is my completed product.
