Windows vista Problem

I have a problem that will probley take some cash to fix if see a technician about it ... We did a 4 updates and 2 windows service packs at once all in 1 day it started at 10 this morning and now it won't let me get on the computer without disk checks .. And I cant cancel them and when it gt to about 806 out of 55428 and sometimes it stops at 788. It stops at that number and says ! ! 0xc0190036 ! ! 806/55428 (windowsCodecsExt.dll) and will stay there forever........ Start up repair does not work. Can anyone please help me ? And if I did post in wrong section. I'm sorry I'm not very happy about having to go out and buy another computer because this won't work ....oh and system restore dosent respond it it just stays on finalizing system restore forever.

No reinstall windows.

I can't even get to the login screen how do I reinstall it?

1. Remove hard drive.
2. Spit on it.
3. Get a new one.

Just buy a windows 7 cd from best buy, becuase your gonna run into the same prolem again.

You don't have to be on the desktop for that?

the disk should take you to setup when you put it in
