I think you can remove your UserTitle and then you can get a bigger avatar.

avatars start to be 175X175 when u have 2 k

Not anymore, when you reach it, you can change only name or usertitle.

You can get bigger avatar only if you're a staff member.

But you can get bigger avatar with post count and it was even if you remove your tag.

A while ago users would ask for a usertitle change and "trick the system" by changing their regulation sized usertitle with something more resembling an avatar. So their usertitle "became" that avatar.

Users who did this most notably;

Killjoy
Insomniac

The staff has limited the usertitle sites to public places in an attempt to stop this and if an upper staff member sees it - they will remove it

This way was never "proper".
