Why does everyone say chrome is so much faster? It is literally taking 6 or 7 more seconds to load pages than Firefox. Like my gf is on skype now, and its taking forever to load pages n chrome, but in FF, they load instantly

I even get good pings in games too so I know nothing has changed in my connection. Its JUST chrome.

So I do believe FF>Chrome. Especially cause FF has adblock.

chrome is faster than firefox for me.

chrome takes less cpu usage
chrome > ff

But I have a plenty powerful computer, so its not like the minimally more amount of FF's usage is going to hurt.

The problem is is that it loads pages really slow. Was there some kinds of configuration that I missed? Cause I havnt even changed the pipelining in FF, let alone anything else, and its still instant page loading.

Chrome takes a shit load of CPU.

I totally prefer Chrome.
It starts up faster; the UI is simple and i'm comfortable with it; pages load faster; simplicty

I guess mines one of those systems then.

My main concern is just how long it takes to load pages, not really system usage, cause like I said, I have plenty of power.

And there are some nice themes for FF too. Im using SmallringFX and it looks cool.

Every browser reads different. Plus it differs on your computers memory. I personally love safari but its slow. Chrome gives me alot of page errors. Opera is the fastest for me but I don't like the interface.

GF is on skype so its a little low, but meh, you can see the difference.

Firefox is so slow for me
I got chrome and it loads in like in 1 second
