Error after start game screen

so after i press "checked" then start, hackshield loads and everything. next thing, it says "Failed to access the network \r please allow the program in your firewall/router". i tried going to firewall setting, and putting it into exceptions, but still no luck. help?

Happened to me the other day...Reset your modem, then enable your firewall again.

reset as in turn it off then off? so i turn it off, then back on, then put firewall on?

Or just disable firewall when you play..

Also, alternatively, you can port forward. Not too difficult.

i tried disabling firewall. still error. can u explain whats port forwarding? not so good with that kind of stuff ;[
