so im almost sure that im going to get a deticated server (external server) for my MC server.
But i need help deciding which one to get, bc im not good at hardware stuff, only software.
I've narrowed it down to 2 servers after searching for the past 2 days;
Promise Tech - $394
Dell Customize (with everything the same, cept a 4gb RAM upgrade) - $398
Which one should i get?
Or do you know of any better ones?

Honestly i do not know much about dedicated server. One thing i do know is dell computers, servers, laptops are all terrible with the exception of possible one or two. So do not buy a dell anything. Then again, thats my personal experience so you can do what you want.

bro, i have a dell inspiron 4gb ram desktop, this thing can handle my server, and me playing mc with hd textures, no fog.

Thats not terribly impressive, as all those games are pretty much made to run on medium end computers.

And almost $400 for a server? I really hope you plan on doing other things with that because that is an absurd price to pay just for a minecraft server.

I actually have one of those things here at my house, but it must be at least 10 years old.

bro, $400 is cheap for a server, i only found 5 servers under $800 that were worth looking at. i even found servers that were 16 grand.
And im not payin $400, im partly 'paying' for it, as every member needs to do 50 ******s to reach the goal of $420+
~$420 will goto the server
If $20 is left over it will goto making my dolby account premium, which will allow free voice chat and text chat for all the other players, and will have special groups (admins, mods, vip, player)
All the rest of the money will goto making the website i set up (starts with Apache) premium to remove ads and the (dot)webs in the url.

All that just for a minecraft server.

You must be stupid to expect people to pay you.

You used a website builder to make your website? Why not learn html or ask for a favor and run the website off this $400 server?
The first step of making ANYTHING is too plan it, and you sound like you need a little more planning.
