Damn connection...

Can someone explain to me how to stop disconnecting from live games? Even on my computer, I dc. I know it's not my computer because it does it on xbox live too. I reset the modem and router and it keeps happening online. I didn't put this in the xbox section because it involves my whole connection, not specifically xbox.
