Since your new to modding I suggest making a texture for the L96A1 because its easy to understand. Use a nice pattern (C+P) and add some decals and extra colors. I use Paint.NET for my texture mods and when I go to test the mod I leave Paint.NET open so I can go back and edit until it looks good Remember to keep editing and fixing up the problems before releasing.
