someone please help

okay so iv decided to stop being a leech and try making my first mod for texture but whenever i try to open the dtx file it says "could not complete your request because its not the right type of document" can someone plz tell me how to fix this...

What are you trying to open it with?
If photoshop u have to installe some new plugins ans use black angels dtx converter to convert to lithtech. If you a problem reply.

do you have dtxconvert and the plugins for photoshop?, cuz that ur problem, if open dtx convert convert the file you want to edit to lithtech, open it, edit, save it as a dtx file and then unconvert it back to nexon open rezinject and inject to where ever ur gun is. good job for not leeching any more and remember to click thank

You using gimp or something like tht?
Put the pic inside your texture folder in dedit then open it
Right clik it then hit convert tga file

il post my where i put my plug ins and dlls and stuff

well actually il just say what i did
1.opened the file "GUNS_T_PV_SMG" with rextract
2.selected "K7" then clicked convert to lithtech
3.i got the plugin "DTXformat" and put it with the other file formats.
4.i put the dlls (MSVCIRTD and msvcrtd) in the main photoshop folder.
5.i go into photoshop find K7 and click open file
6.it says that its the wrong document type or something
what did i do wrong someone please help!
also it'd help if you could show me through teamviewer
