You always gotta do what they do?
Take art for example. You can do anything related to sexual / political / etc stuff.
Learning at school is alot more efficient than independently.
School - Kills Creativity + Teach you valuable things to your life. = You;re Someone
No school + Creativity - You're a dumb without studies = You will be ANYTHING

School may kill some creativity, or give birth to new creativity, but you do mature because of it, and learn many things other than studies
Without school, you may be stuck in a certain level of knowledge if you have no other form of teachings.
There's the pros.
And then there's the cons.
Depends which side your looking from and at and your PoV.
