I know, I'm programming the battle system either tonight if I'm not too lazy or tomorrow. You gotta reboot because firefox is a gay piece of shit that in most cases conveniently checks the temporary internet files if the flash file has already been downloaded. If it finds that it has, it will load up the previous one that you played, which would be the old version as it wouldn't reload the new version. If you reboot firefox you clear the temporary internet files, thus firefox redownloads it.
