Modified Version.

Original Version.

Original Render:

Original Background:

Pro is pro
no one here is pro, pro is BLANE and Clyzm and Slash3

for the sig
the colours are overdone in the first one, however they are too bland in the second one, the colour spash is doing nothin for you
as ryguy said ur compo is bad, woulda been better of with rule of thirds
brushes = noob, and that lightning is dodgy and just too fake looking, try getting some textures
other than that read tuts for the love of all that is good
7/10 Full of rich color
Sorry bro can't say much good things about this one.

First off you're colors are quite rich and very inviting but then you clash them with a black and white effect. On top of that you're render is also black and white. The style now tends to stray from black and white work with the occasional exception. This style of B&W with a splash of color works quite well for advertising and drawing attention to where you want it but not so well in a personal piece.

Another thing I'd like to point out is the lightning. Something happened there that I am not quite sure of. The Lighting (stock?) gets cut off on the clouds and there are plenty of other small parts that were poorly erased. Not sure what happened, maybe lack of time or effort? You're lighting isn't too bad though but it could be better.

Another thing I'd like to point out to you is your placement. If you are unaware of the rule of thirds I would advise you to look it up on google, I'm sure you will find plenty of information on it there. Basically you don't want a focal point of your piece to be centered or way off center. Assuming you know what it is, I will just tell you that your text should be moved and your render should be moved slightly closer to the center. Also because of the way the castle in the background is portrayed it is a little eye catching and may also want to be moved off center but seeing as how that shouldn't catch ones eye you may want to fix that in other ways.

Besides all that it's not bad, good idea just needs a little fixing up.
@Ryguy , Of course I know the rules of third, learned it in object photography 2nd semester of my first year in college , for this particular image, I felt the point of interest should be skewed, considering the wide nature of the sig, I felt (IMHO) there should be no direct point of interest, I wanted the eyes to wonder and not "focus to a intersection" . I feel the rule of thirds can and should be broken on some occasions, it is in my opinion that it can lead to some more stunning imagery.

I do however agree with everything you said, Just some small points ( i may have lacked in my portrayal, but i can deff. see where you are coming from) Intention was not black and white, Dark night, so scenery should be dark (keeping a for of realism) & therefor I chose to recolor (not desaturated) the render , then intentionally burn darker areas (with lighting as best as I could, considering the render had it's own lighting) So it gives the appearance of being black and white, however that wasn't the intention, same goes for the stronghold (really a "palace") it's colors are grey and black, those are the colors, not by any means "black & white" , @ Lightning, yeah, decided to post , I have to agree, didn't think anyone would notice , the mistake is so minute , didn't bother to fix it.

Again, I see where you are coming from, more of a explanation, I can understand your train of thought as the interpreter.

lol i love it when you say IM"H"O
while looking at your avatar
I agree with your opinion that the rule of thirds should be broken in some rare occasions. However I feel that in most situations that the rule of thirds should be followed and if not your focus should be centered.

The rule of thirds is just a trendy style preference imo but it's still a rule that appeals to most people so I would advise following it to try and get a more appealing piece.
I like the effect on the render, the rest is less.
Added a modified version to first post.
IMO (and you know I love you Rich nohomo) It woulda been a lot nicer if you just left out the guy from AC, i like the lightning in the background that you added, looks pretty nice but the Assassin just kills it. The cyan is waaaaay to vibrant (just looks supersaturated) and doesn't fit at all with the effects you went for one the background (black and white...+ supersat cyan == colorclash?) The assassin just doesn't look right where he is, makes the image look way segregated (render, with a background behind it, wrong proportions) I know you'll say 'I'm blind' but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, .
@ Tutorials, I am too stubborn for that, It's not that I know I can pull off abstract, c4d, grunge, tech and every modern for of signature design just by eyeballing the concept, it is in my opinion that everyone here thinks this is a modern signature section and forget it's a gfx section, so unless the style matches modern concepts (!= realism, advertisement art, object art ) then it's poor in design, now with that said, I 100% agree with everyone, maybe I over thought the concept, then over executed in some areas.
The modified version is better than the original but it still has a few problems. The lightning still lacks realism and the text is still awkwardly placed. A word of advice: if you're going to put text in your work try and make it become part of the piece rather than just paste it on at the end and also realize that text follows the rule of thirds.

The lighting on the render is also a little choppy looking, may I suggest using a soft brush next time? If you're focusing on trying to keep the blue on a certain object I would suggest using a clipping mask.

Other than that it's a nice improvement. I almost went insane when I saw a difference between the background pictures. The tree like moved or something and I was like starting to second guess myself and stuff idk it was weird but yea now I realize you added it in haha.
Jesus Christ...I haven't done this much reading since the first semester of Theology.

I hate A LOT the "rain" or what you call that thing...
The rest is AWESOME. Colors, choice of renders.... all fantastic!

8.5/10
