SPIRIT

some of you might still remember a thread i made a while back asking for help to do a photography piece on the theme spirit.
well i have finished my piece and will be submitting it later this morning into the photography comp i did this for

and here it is

kinda good but that weird shape at the bottom is edgy clean it up

Agree. watch out for those shapes. they dont fit.
average: 7/10

you mean the circular puddle thingy?

what do you think my chances of winning a comp with that would be?

pfff dude dont listen to people on this website. If everyone cleaned up all the "edgy" bits and "shapes that don't fit" then everything anyone did would be boring as bat shit. Its good.

um looks like u took a picture of a fence, then did some post work on it
also i think using a picture of jesus christ holding the cross to advertise a spirits company is pretty offensive

wdf? ok then lets not listen to you its fuking opinion u retard.

Looks nice. The O on the bottom looks like the Oakley symbol. Pretty decent, but I don't like the darkness. To dark in my likings really.

its got a touch of bill henson i think.
its a comment on alcoholism and binge drinking.
the "O'" ring is actually the water left from a cold drink when the condensation drips from the cup and makes a ring around the base of a cup, or in this case the missing Johnie walker bottle.

the darkness is a symbol/motif

the picture of jesus is replaceing the johnie walker logo of the man with a walking stick. both are the same colour and stencil

its a comment about how when shit hits the fan most people hit the "spirits" to escape from thier "shit hitting the fan"
people should have faith and "spirit" and turn to jesus and god (im a catholic person) and "keep on walking"

i put quite a bit of thinking into this. think i might have over thought this and no one gets it...

I think it has too much emptiness. 6.5/10
