If people can transform applications to something they were never intended to do through a lonely DLL that wasn't even included in an application, think if what you could do if you own the application itself.

Not if you use machine learning to build the rules automatically by comparing your notes and the text together. The AI can start to see which words are important with simple rules. If you try to build the list of rules yourself history has shown time and time again that this takes forever and then is not very reliable.

EDIT: Also you shouldn't be taking 20 pages of notes, that defeats the point of notes. Learn to take better more concise notes.

But the computer could filter rudimentary words first like the words without definitions then based on a set of predefined user "Topics" filter out words that don't pertain to the topic using a dictionary.com search. Then once it has the important words it makes a big long list, then starts sorting to find important words that come up multiple times, to find out the main ideas, then as they become less and less repetitive it starts to sort out the words of lower hierarchy value and creates an outline, sortof.

When programming for user experience, you do not want the user to have to input ANYTHING other than notes (for a notes app). Advanced settings can be placed somewhere, but for most users, they won't want to have to touch anything (including a setup file) to get an application working.

A) Use regex - it will save you days in development at least
B) Use a table of sentance structures and have them reformatted. You'd have to identify the words though :/ there are a couple ways you could do it, maybe there are engines out there for this purpose.

What made you think I was suggesting you use a regex engine for 'AI'? It's incredibly powerful for parsing text documents and tokenizing them into something programatically identifiable which is what I was intending it be used for. I doubt it's even considered AI. It's called parsing and tokenizing text. Hence why I suggested you use a table of potential sentence structures.

After you tokenize the text it's a matter of rephrasing and pattern identification.
