Yes, But a you need a UCE, I have a tut on how to make one although you need patience and it's not easy. Is the reason you don't want MHS because of that cannot open process probem?

This can be anything from supersaian to maplepound. There's no real tut for a UCE it's much like a MHS but more advanced in my books.

There are a whole bunch of guides ESPECIALLY on the MHS forums on how to get it running for vista. You should look into it if you want to hack. Generally hacking anything nowadays involve Cheat Engines, which is once again, what MHS is.
