Let's analyse Crytek
well i was trying to sleep yesterday and i had one of those moments when your brain decides to burn sugar and refuses to shut the fuck down and let you sleep , anyway , i came up to three reasons why crytek would leave MP available for pirated versions:
Possibility 1:
They were just too stupid to notice this flaw -which is highly unlikely for my logic- , it's not like :
dev A (female) -always right- : hey , shouldn't we like add some security to this game?
dev B (male) -sexist- : and why would we do that ? its not like those free-lurkers will try to mash in 20 characters in the license key area .... byatch -crytek- go make me a samwich .
Possibility 2:
It was just a free trial , try to picture it in your mind as the following : they released the demo -seriously how many of you downloaded it ?- lets say 100 people downloaded the demo , 50 people loved it and couldnt leave any more without their daily MP dose of C2 ... but then we all downloaded the pirated version , lets say 10000 people really bought the game , whilst 20 million people downloaded the pirated version , played the free online and BAAAM!!! Multi-player is no longer allowed , i would say at-least 2 million people fell in love with it , see what they did there ? they got themselves 2 million more retails from nothing , and thats the Most reasonable ... reason -.-
Possibility 3:
the developers were just too convinced that the Multi-player sucks that they even didn't bother trying to secure it -for me that is :P -
if you got other ideas , or theories why would they do that .. don't write it down . because , honestly i don't give 2 fucks what you people think ... no i'm just kidding if you got more theories add 'em here ..
