No, it's way too easy to get post count with the General Section. The only reason I'm indifferent is because disabling it would dramatically lower the community's incentive to interact, and the interaction is what I love about this place.

General has so much interaction because of how it's General, and you can talk about whatever.

Other sections focus on something.

Not true, notice how little activity the Spam Section gets? If it had post count enabled it would be flooded. If post count wasn't a factor then General would still get more posts than other boards, but if post count was disabled board specific this section would start to die.

No, posts per day would imply that he has made 2,000 posts over his entire MPGH career, which is true. He didn't make all of those posts in one day, but he's made them all in less than the 33 hours he's been online throughout his three year career.
