ROFL, yeah after all configs will be taken out of that hfs you will have no other way of entering commands except using his console.

For those who only trying this out now:
  • Don't forget binds are persistent. If you wish to unbind some custom keys, you need to click apply in options after changing hfs
  • You can actually put commands there without binds, they only work when you're hosting anyway
  • You can just extract the file you need to mod from .zip and after editing drag it back to .zip, it will replace the old one.

EDIT: Anyway, I'm finished trying to defend myself, does anyone else have issues with anything? If not I'm going to disappear for the next 12-15 hours or so...
Sheesh dude, never forget that forums will always generate argument. If people still pester, remember, don't feed the trolls ^^.

And thanks for the guide, lots of stuff in those .hfs that are useful, specially with Good Stuff Lite.

there some reason the .zip file isn't being created? or if it is i'm not quite sure where. i'm on win7 ult x86 (32 bit) and have done every step perfectly idownloaded the vzipflip from a site like drop box? and it seemed to be correct the cmd window says it extracted and wrote to the .zip file successfully but i just can't seem to find it. yes i'm new at this so it may just be and probably is my stupid mistake but any help please? thanks ^^

Yo, OP, thanks for the smooth directions. I followed straight through and everything is up and going. Now it's just a matter of finding some useful commands. Thanks again!
Damnit, you beat me to it xD

I get this same problem, any help?
you have to turn off UAC by going into control panel, search UAC, then restart computer.
I've tried this soon as I post the modified hfs back into game directory and try to start it I get a black screen

Make SURE you follow it step by step (And that all underscores _ are removed from .hfs files)

"I messed up, tell me how to fix it." Isn't possible since I can't see what you're doing wrong. I can tell you that if every step seemed to work perfectly, then there's something wrong within the last say 4 or 5 steps.

Make sure if you get the notification you hit yes. Otherwise turn UAC off, or make SURE you run cmd prompt as administrator.

Basically as it says, it can't write to the C:\ drive.

Same goes to you Cloud, just read the error. If you're getting an access error than it's because you're either a) Not clicking "Yes" on the notification you get or b) not getting a notification and not running Command Prompt as administrator (or turning off UAC)

And sorry for the delayed responses... Beta testing AoEO so I'm only poppin on here every few hours.

thanks I figured out what I was doing wrong I was zipping the folder itself instead of only the cotents thats what caused the game to screw up but thanks for the help
I wouldn't troubleshoot for others if I were you. If people aren't able to follow this perfectly fine to understand guide, then I really think they should just delete and go home.. to wherever.. home is.
did it in admin had to navigate to root folder cause it started at system32 but it worked
