Can you help?

Well ok. Today I was on my Facebook and some people were talking about a blog that someone made about my school and put somethings on that blog that hurt people . I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to trace the IP of this person's website to find out who it is. Please move this if it is in the wrong section.

If you did, it would track the IP of the website, not the user.

type in command prompt

"tracert" followed by the website "www.blah*********"

now take the numbers,

go to www.ip-adress.com
once your their you should see this page, click on 'IP-trace' down the bottom

then once youve done that type in the ip you have found through CMD,
it should take you to the ip address of the owner,

Well how would I track the IP of the user on the website?

If they are saying bad shit, ask the police to trace it.

ask around in school

Ping it with cmd...type:
ping <url> ex: ping google.com

And it will show you the IP, then make some searches on whois and your done

@Skyline. I just did your way (tracert) and I noticed I need to go through 17 ip's before I get to mpgh's one...

Howmany do you need?

about 5-10ish. but it already shows up top. which is the same as the bottom.

Is their anyway to find out a name? because no one knows who this person is that made the blog about these people

You cant trace every website..
