[Solved] Textures banable?

Textures banable?

So are the textures banable on steam version, if the byte size is the same? getting kinda tired of the camos that the game has ..

Havn't been following the texture modding/hacks at all, so im little "out on this"..

If somebody mind giving me some more information(or link to something) on this i would be grateful.

no its not banable when the sizes are the same, and even when they arent the same the camo wont work ingame anyways

The most I could ever see happening is you not being able to get in games. If activillian ever decides to ban for textures, this section would straight up die.

it says Right int he agreement that we all "sign" when we get steam that " you will not be banned for texture mods" ive seen it before but im too lazy to get a link

Thats for Valve games. MW2 and BO run under a different ruleset.

Doesnt mean they will ban for them. VAC2 could detect them if they werent fixed, but nobody ever got a ban.

VAC3 is using MD5 checking instead of CRC.

MD5 Can't Be Fixed. IDK I'm not so sure but I think it can't.

Well there are MD5 checksum exploits that do exists, not every cryptography method is 100% secure.

I dont think its banable since its not using a .exe or .dll
The only thing you do is to change the image

They are not bannable.

The worst you will get is an error message saying "Files different from server", that only happens when you edit the skin incorrectly.
