Internet Help!!

Ok... i convinced my dad to get a new and better internet. But I dont know what to choose. Any Ideas? i Live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin And I want a wired connection. Im Using usb webconnect atm and it causes alot of lag spikes. Help please.?
