2010 = IDE Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 <Express,Pro,Etc>, .NET Framework 4.0

Changes? .NET Framework. That's what changes. And they usually associate the year with that framework. Which is being used by default when using Microsoft Visual XXXX IDE's.

The language is the same.

And I don't really feel like arguing this kind of stuff with someone who actually said that.

Sometimes new language features are added

In .NET 4's case, default parameters for C# , yay !

but that's what IDE helps you with.

You could pretty much code a whole *.cs in notepad, and use csc.exe to compile it. And it would run ^^. As long as you know what you are doing. (When i mean you, i mean every of us)...

It's not a bad Behaviour, It makes you know your crap better in fact ; Despite it's not recommended for widespread / biggie projects as it can cause much headaches.

People get dumb using Crappy VStudio with Intellisense, Coming back to notepad every once in a while can't hurt test your memory and habits.

I agree VStudio is crap.
And I also agree it's better because it trains you more.

But he said he was forced to use notepad, and I was wondering why.

Moving from computer to computer, notepad is the only thing I get :/

And my dad's netbook (which I began using yesterday) can't run an IDE, it's a tiny eeepc with like, 512MB RAM and an Intel Atom from a few years ago. Plus, it's got a max resolution of 1026 x 600 <<

Yes, except it's not very productive

Especially when you're doing this:
Code:
tabtabtatabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabbtabtabtabtabtabtabwhile (true)
tabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtab{
tabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabbyte a = &b;
tabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabProcess(a);
tabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtabtab}

That must suck.

That's what I meant by Headaches x).

At least get Notepad++ or Anything wiff syntax highlighting and auto-tabbing, Will spare some trouble.

When I'm in dipshit or don't have anything I use tiny Html/CSS IDE's ; They manage files and have tabbing :3, But I guess Notepad++ has that too if my memory is correct x).

Yes Notepad++ has that too.
Or ConTEXT.
my post is totally relevant to everything.
Female Japanese Girl! whowhowhowhoooo

Oh wait..
because loading documentation in your browser means you are smarter because you don't read the documentation provided by Intellisense... Oh wait, in the end its the same thing except one person is more productive.

Anyways, if you have that many nested loops (code smell), it sounds like you need to do some refactoring.
