Linux sucks :(
Yay, I get to ridicule everyone now :3
+1
Even still, it's Linux, just like there have been different distros (versions) of Windows. The API is the same, but there no documentation.. I'm having to read through the header files to find what I need, and guestimating the results.
If Linux sucks, then Windows and Mac must be wiped off the face of the Earth.
You have the right of an opinion, yes, not to mislead D:
Linux is faster than Windows. Why do the majority of servers use Linux, including Facebook, Google and MPGH?
A fully blown, operating Linux OS will work with just 50MB RAM, whereas Windows 7 will require 1GB(wtf?)
You won't find most server-related software on Windows, or, even if they are, they have been tried and tested on Linux, which also has the largestuserbase so will receive priority in updates - Mono, PHP, MySQL are all examples of this.
Hm... Although true that there isn't as much software available on Linux as on Windows .. You need to remember that most software sucks shit anyway (Windows or otherwise) - how many of the 2 googel Windows applications available on the net do you actually use? Under Linux, there is (almost) everything I need, from documents to spreadsheets to browsers to IM clients (great ones too, might add). The only things that don't work are games, but hey, dual boot or VM it - the Linux userbase is just, well, plainly uninterested in gaming on their 'nix machines.
Security issues are fixed in minutes to hours - not days, or even weeks. It's an open community, where you are encouraged to help improve Linux, unlike Windows.
Linux might suck, but not for the reasons listed above - they're actually its strong points D:

You also have the right to stfu. Please exercise it instead.
Derp, so you hate on Linux cause it's kernel has man pages instead of a fancy site? Hate on the guys that maintain the kernel, not linux in general. It's like hating Windows because MS Essentials 2011 suck (not the most appropriate comparison, but seeing as it's subjected to so much hate I hope you get the point
).

Windows is the best for what i do, no matter what you say. And Alen, u got the right to stfu aswell, I only said my opinion not flamed anybody, so dont flame me!

Except the kernel is Linux, kind of. I mean, an OS without a kernel?
And Essentials 2011 is the best piece of software in the Essentials range yet ! It's just beautiful. But it's been met with some fierce criticism from people who hate change :P
"best", you say?
It's only the "best" because half the programmers in the world are either Windows based or web (html, php, asp etc) based.
You would drool if I brought my Linux laptop over (A).

@freedompeace ... an open source kernel will always rape MS' selfish one :3
LOL? Like some posts above said, your opinion is mistaken, and what we do is speak the truth. Speak the truth.
You being quiet is best for what we do, no matter what you think. And gamer4ever, you got the right to stfu, I only said my opinion, so don't stroll into the coders' lounge (we have a gaming section elsewhere) and talk shit about Linux!

I was going to read that, but then i saw the amount of text on the screen. So i didnt read it lol...
Also, freedompeace is talking about API documentation i think because we were gonna use C++ on a project we were working on, but then we saw the documentation for lunix (P.S. Its like "." <---that) And we said there was no way.
