Texture Help

Hi people i need some help regarding texture, firstly do they still work? Are they still not bannable, and im using steam

This is what im trying and my problem

I install them correctly open IwD with winrar extract textures in there overite etc. But when i start mw2, and try to join a game i never able to join a lobby with any player, all the way to 120ms and still not found a game, while before i used the texture hacks i could get in a game striaght away, i heard something about file size need to be the same. Some explain this to me. Thanks

Textures dont have anything to do with not finding games. If you messed up texturing, you will find a game, but wont get in it.

Ok so server are coming back but now im get problem when loading into a game says
"Files differnt from server"

i have setup the textures correctly using winrar, i dont understand can you help please Thanks

Did you follow the part where you need to fix the CRC32 and hex edit? I haven't texture edited in over a year now, perhaps @Heartview will eb able to help more better than I can.

Old post but seems like it still being used by the last comment on the 05-01-2011 i think

if that is too old and the files are messed can you suggest the same thing? That is new tested and working

They're still working. And are obv fixed. Try to check the FF files. They ussually have to do with those shits. Try to redownload them.

the files located into the "zone" folder. Also you should use the Auto Installer provided by the texture pack to install the mods.

i wouldn't rely much on the auto installer, there old and haven't been fixed/updated, i would recommend the manual way. make backups ofc.
