Ok i want to hook up my PS3 To My dell 1907FP but when i hook it up to my monitor all i get is a black screen and i have an hdmi to dvi converter so can someone help me?

Did you try to configure your PS3 video settings

yeah it just gave meh a black screen

Did you use the correct software?

After I did some research, I found out that if your monitor is 4:3, it won't work since a PS3 requires 16:9
So this is why you get a black screen, your monitor is not compatible
Now is your chance to buy a new one
