Resolution
I know theres a way to change the resolution, because in one of the threads on aeria's forum, one of the admins said you could, but could someone explain how to change the resolution of the game from the default to 1440 x 900
1. Right Click on the Metal Assault exe
2. Click Properties in the very bottom
3. Then Click on the Compatibility, its located on the top
4. Check on where it says Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution

I don't know exactly how but I doubt you'll be able to set it to that resolution. The game looks like that at max it could probably be 1024x780.
