As long as you have the proper coordinates for the mouse clicks, are level 40+ and have completed the path quest of your choice then yes, the macro should operate properly and level your path for you.

You can indeed speed through the first twenty levels till cap on your Path skill. Trans also makes almost all missions simple. TO be able to gain Path XP however, you have to legitimately have the skill otherwise the information is not unlocked for your toon. While you can force a trans with Key Binds, it does not give xp without the proper quests completed.
