CF can't update, if you use Vista/Seven be sure to run it as ADM.
Or else you will need to download it again.

uhmm should i re-install or re-dl and yes that is the "run as admin" if i dont run nothing pops up.

oh this is cf private server, i believe its called eternia!

Hmm yeah, the Eternia is only private exists until now.

You should download a new version on their website and reinstall it.

Try like, posting on their forums, or like, you should really try to restore your pc or run and remember to alwys run as admin

sorry for late reply, was tired from school, died on couch for few hours lol, anyways i have same issue, i dled and re-installed, and run as admin , but uhmmm can someone explain how i do what that command promt is asking me, cf eternia forums is being glitchy to me, but..

its telling me to do something, i did that last time didnt work, can anyone explain what to do, like zoom to the pic and explain, after doing that cf eternia said make sure its NOT read-only, im guessing they talking bout the hosts file

Well, you tried what is saying on the Prompt Window? Try edit this file and adding their IP address.

This happen to everyone when they try to edit this file. What you need to do is simple.

- Open hosts (original file) on your text document.
- Copy the whole text, address, etc.
- Create a new text document file and paste copied content.
- Select All Files (*) and save it without any extension, and name it to hosts.
- Go back to the original hosts and rename it to hosts_
- Copy your modified hosts file in the place of original and voila. Will have the edited file now.

nice! i was getting file not found ...but then all of a sudden it started patching
