That's cute, you got some point and shoots. I doubt the new one even has a sensor size capable of true 16MP, pretty sure all the camera does its stretch it to a simulated 16MP.

@iverson954360 the output size for each picture is about 3.2MB...
way too big for just any reqular sized picture

Yeah I honestly doubt its true 16MP, DSLRs that have lower resolution sensors put out larger files. Unless your camera has some retardedly awesome compression software. DSLRs give you the raw image file so I'm pretty sure your point and shoot just takes pictures at a lower resolution then simulates 16MP by stretching each image.
