Steam name changer
Hello i have a basic knowledge of Vb.net and C# programming. But i want to make a new project for steam. A steam name changer that can change the nickname in scrolling letters or make it invisible. I saw one at this website but it was useless for me, it didn't work. Now is my question how can i make a connection between my application and steam. Do i need a .api or something else. Or does somebody have a tutorial for this.
You can change the chat name, i think pretty easily. Changing the Username is impossible though, without DB access.

Not true.
I don't feel like explaining the whole process, seeing it's kinda long.

Have not tried before. Where speaking hypothetically. Though, obviously you can't change username, unless DB access/ or steam wanted you to

You can make steam get it's info for the name elsewhere.

I've heard of packet sniffing, else i don't really see your point
You don't neeed fucking DB access... Just edit the value which the name is stored in Settings and it will sync to the server.

Calm down, how would i know that steam had such a crappy protection.
Also, are you aware that it's the USERNAME and not the chat name, we're talking about?
