Most people (like OP) accumulate the distaste of general, leading them to have one red bar, then they make a thread about it, usually claiming that they like having negative rep in an effort to mask the fact that their e-rep sucks. The hopelessly nice people will +rep, which is what the OP of these treads secretly wants, and everyone else either =reps them or leaves them alone because these threads are stupid. Usually the -rep outweighs the +rep, sending them well on their way to two full bars.
