I suggest you guys actually try this in game:
1) It will feel very strange not to be looking the middle of your screen.
2) You need to reset this EVERY game, so you'll get annoyed even before you can get used to the screen being in the left corner...

You could just keep the correct resolution, but go into options in Crossfire, then select window mode...
