Some parts are not smudge good like at the top near the top right corner, you can see chunks of his shirt and etc.

The colors are kinda gross dude..and sorry but smudge isn't beast either.
Focal and text are too smashed off to the LEFT and just seem completely out of place.

Looks alright to me....

Focal should definitely be more to the middle.

Try to get the smudge more interesting, now it just looks like you dragged colors from bottom to top on a pretty high intesity.

Try using variations on the strength of your smudge brush. Try put in some more colours to add more variety as well. Don't be afraid to add in some nice lighting as well, like @artemon did in his signature.

If you want I can link you to some nice smudging psds. They wont tell what type of brush the guy uses but it's something like a hard circle brush set to 85-95% strength.

ur colours are bland and not vibrant
and ur focal is way too left

Left is too sharp, right side is predominantly smudged and messy
