HelpUpdating Minecraft

Hey guys
When you update minecraft and you have a server with a city... will the city disappear and a new server be added?

If it needs to be clearer.... if you build a city.... update... will it go or stay?

to my knowledge of game projects past just copy the maps to the new cracked server

so in other words stay if you copy the maps from the servers folder to the new server and it should just convert them to support the latest version

timebomb99 Copy old map files to new server folder and start server normally...
Is that what you need?

As preivously mentioned, all the information about the players is in the world folder. The only server thing you got to replace is the old launcher in your server folder.
