Like what the title says, wat does it mean when your connection has been delayed?

It means your internet lagged.

it happen to me when i download something soo it's cuz the net make sure u close all application
It happens because the game didn't load on time.
just lagg run it again if that didnt work and you got the same error get better internet connection
Restart your router or call your cable company. 
Do what Harry Potter sed or buy a New Router and a better one... or install ur crossfire first
