You need to use the IP from whatsmyip.org (external) for the server. And that's also what you would put into the client to connect to the server.. Which can be dangerous to let randoms connect to, especially if you are in DMZ mode.. Very dangerous. Which is why I posted what I did about using a VPS.

Right now your server is operating from one IP (internal only) and your client is trying to connect to another IP (external).

$hServer = _TCP_Server_Create(12345, @iPaddress1)

Well if you are hosting a chat server on a specific IP and port. Does it not make sense that the client needs to connect to the SAME IP and port? Honestly if you don't have common knowledge like this, this project is probably well beyond your means. NOT trying to be rude, just sayin....

Like I said before but you missed it.. 192.168.1.xxxx is internal IP.. Your friend (outside connection) won't be able to connect to your internal IP.. Your server needs to run on your EXTERNAL IP (can find at whatsmyip.org easiest) for anyone outside your network to connect. Only let trusted friends connect though cuz people with the right knowledge can FUCK your world with an open connection like that.

I put my External IP on the Client .... still didnt work for internal i meant i port fowarded my internal ip . so i can use external ip .

i put my ip in client which is external. and i port fowarded my internal and DMZ hosted it.

_TCP_Send($hClient, "##username" & $name)
_TCP_Send($hClient, "##username" & ^ ERROR

Error: Variable used without being declared

---------------------------------------------------------------------
when i run my server and client .
client says that.
but server is fine.

isnt that means send username info to server via TCP connection

What are you asking me for? I discontinued this project. Thus the reason why I gave out the source. I clearly said this in the OP. This is now for someone else to figure out/finish.

But I don't think I'll ever try to learn the AutoIT language.
Most likely C first, then C++

I started learning C++ first with no language background. Understood the beginning and got bored and stopped D:
