Python is really hard to learn. I personally rq'd it. XNA on C# is the best for easy game developing in my mind. But D3D is still epic.

It's not hard, it is extremely easy compared to other languages like C and C++ which are not hard either. Actually, their styles (C++ and Python) are comparable, a little i think. But Python's syntax is rather comparable to VB.
