I had a Western Digital Scorpio external HDD, and I've been looking to upgrade my 360's storage space. I took em both apart, flashed the firmware of my Scorpio to a copy of a 120GB's, and it works.

Its nice having all my games installed, though. Faster load speeds and its a lot more quiet without my drive spinning.

yeh its the best. Soo quiet when gaming at night and stuff loads way faster.
I was thinking of doing the same thing

I was surprised that it worked. I didn't think it would. Its funny, since now I put the 360 HDD into my external's casing, and now I have an extra 16GB to use with my system. When I configured it, it told me it did not meet the 360's recommended specs.
